Obituary

Mr. William F. Byrd, also known as, “Byrd” or “Byrd Man” was born on November 15, 1950 and he gained his wings on July 8, 2020. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Marion Byrd; mother; Mazie Whittman Byrd; and his sister, Mazie Anne Smith. 

Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife, Elissa Yvonne Byrd; his three children, Jeniffer (Willie) Kearns, Anthony (Nancy) Byrd and Scott Timothy Byrd; six grandchildren, Sidney (Samuel) Byrd, Blakeley Kiyah Byrd, Rebecca Lynn Byrd, Jacob Gregory Kearns, Briley Mackenzie Kearns, Morgan Taylor Byrd, Brittany Michelle Young, Jonathan Mack Rachel, and Gavin Phillip Rachel; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Gabriel Dunn and Everleigh Lynn Rachel; his brother, Raymond (Jeanette) Byrd; his sister, Anita (James) Skipper; as well as lots of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Mr. Byrd was a huge Alabama fan, who loved to fish. He was known as a hard-worker before he had his stroke, and went to live in the William F. Green Veteran's Home. Where he has spent the last twelve years of his life. He will be greatly missed.

His services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Kenmar Family Funeral Home, 11400 Tanner Williams Rd., Mobile, Alabama. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., with his funeral service following immediately after at 12 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the VA Cemetery in Spanish Fort.
