Kathy Williams Sellars, born May 17, 1960, passed away on March 8, 2021 at her home in Mobile, Alabama. Kathy loved books, was an outstanding artist, and had an exemplary gift as an accomplished pianist. She shared that gift by teaching piano lessons to many in the Tanner Williams community while she was still a teenager and as a young adult. She graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School in 1978 and attended Auburn University for four years where, thankfully, she didn’t lose her beautiful country drawl. She adored cats and took in every stray within her radar.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, John Sellars, and her father, Herman Lee Williams, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Ramona Ruth Williams, sister, Karen Williams (Steve) Chambless, brother, Richard Lee (Donna) Williams, four nieces, Lydia Knizley (Wyatt) Johnson, Melissa Amelia Williams, Lindsey Caroline Williams, and Lundy LeeAnn Williams, one great-nephew, William Burns “Will” Johnson, one great-niece, Isabel Ramona “Lisee” Johnson, and numerous cats.
Though Kathy is no longer with us in presence, she will forever be in our hearts and with us in spirit.
The family will hold a graveside service for Kathy at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021, in the Williams Cemetery in Tanner Williams. The service is open to family and friends.
