Obituary

James Everett Lee, 78, passed away on April 27th, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

James is preceded in death by his parents Walter C. Lee Sr. and Julia N. Lee and his brothers Walter C. ("Buddy") Lee Jr., and Phillip E. Lee Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marguerite Lee; his children: Diane L. Harley (Ralph), Marvin Lee (Kelly), and Jackie Satterfield (Direck); his grandchildren: Josh Harley (Toni), Zach Harley, Jim Lee (Dee), Jacob Lee (Brandi), and Jessica Satterfield; his great-grandchildren: Cooper Lee, Carter Lee, Reagann Buchanan, and Boyd Lee; his sisters Myrna Sedgeway, Molly Johnson (Bob), Judy Hamm (Clint), and Paula Driskell (Dale); as well as a host of other family, friends, nieces, and nephews.

James was a member of Sheet Metal Local 441. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with his many friends. He also enjoyed mule riding with his outlaw mule team, Willie and Waylon, often participating in local Christmas parades and trail rides, including the Dixie National. His family was his most prized possession and they will miss him terribly.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Kindred Hospice for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be held at Allentown Holiness Church (10601 Howells Ferry Rd., Semmes, AL 36575) on Saturday, May 1st, at 12PM noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 AM until the service begins at noon. Interment will take place following the services at Pierce Creek Cemetery on Tanner Williams Rd.
