In Loving Memory of James Richard Carroll
James Richard Carroll (Ricky), a lifelong resident of Lucedale, Mississippi passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday November 5th, 2021 at the age of 59 at his residence.
Ricky is survived by his brothers Greg Carroll Sr. (Debbie Carroll) and Wayne Carroll (Kim Carroll); his niece Jennifer Carroll Rogers (Danielle Rogers); his nephew Gregory Carroll Jr. (Kayla Carroll); His great niece and nephew Carson and Avery Carroll; his uncle Robert Carroll (Marilyn Carroll); his aunt Shirley Carroll, as well as many cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Dottie Carroll.
Ricky was born in Mobile, Alabama on the 22nd day of August 1962. He attended East Central High school and worked for Metals USA for 20+ years. He was also an active member of his church, Tanner Williams Assembly of God.
Ricky was a devoted brother, uncle and friend. He loved and adored his family and was absolutely crazy about his nieces and nephews. He got the nickname “Caca” when Gregory was just a baby, and all these years later that name was still used, even by his great niece and nephew. He loved his dog Hailey more than life itself, and during his free time he loved fishing with family and friends. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and wouldn’t stop to think twice about helping anyone in need. He always put others first. Being selfless was second nature to him. He had a heart of pure gold and the most beautiful soul. Although his presence had a deep lasting affect on those fortunate enough to have met him, his absence will be felt even deeper. Those that knew him will forever have a piece of their heart missing. He would always make you smile or laugh, and you instantly felt brighter and a little lighter by just conversing with him. Although this world is a little dimmer without him, we know he is whole again and hanging out at the feet of Jesus. Probably making him laugh and asking where the best fishing holes are.
His visitation will be held at Tanner Williams Assembly of God on Friday, November 12, from 12 pm - 1 pm. His funeral service will immediately follow at 1 pm. Burial will be held at Wolf Ridge Cemetery.
Fly high Caca. Heaven is a better place now that you’ve finally made it home.
