Daniel Joe "Danny" Kenmar, 63, passed away on June 27th, 2022. Danny spent 22 years working as a construction manager in the cell tower construction industry.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald Dee Kenmar and Geneva Sue Kenmar, his paternal grandparents Albert Easton Kenmar and Mary Ruth Kenmar, his maternal grandparents Lee Haston and Nellie Faye Haston, his mother-in-law Dorothy Ann Lee, his father-in-law William C. Holliday, and a special friend William C. Lee.
Danny is survived by his wife of 38 years (about to celebrate 39) Cynthia Kenmar; his children James (Shay) Kenmar and Amy (Jacob Vallum) Kenmar; his grandchildren C.J. (Caroline), Jessica (Preston), Hailey, Emily, Zack, A.J., Madison, Daniel, Kailee, Matthew, and Logan; his siblings Mary Faye (David) Clarke of Lucedale, MS, Sandra Lee (Edward) Norman of Semmes, AL, Angela Jill (Steve) Hurst of Wilmer, AL, and Albert Easton (Robin) Kenmar II of Semmes, AL; his sisters-in-law Suzanne Clow of Decatur, TN and Dorothy (Glenn) Rice of McDonald, TN; sixteen nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends, as well as his beloved extended work family of which there are too many to name.
Danny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a compassionate man who would give you the shirt off his back if he knew it would help. There wasn’t a job Danny was scared to tackle. He had such a jolly personality that many people even referred to him as “the Santa from Atlanta”.
A funeral service will be held at Haven Woods Baptist Church in Semmes, AL on Friday, July 1st. A time of gathering will take place will be held from 12 PM until 1 PM. The service will begin at 1 PM.
