Clarence Donald (Don) Brown, Jr., 77, also known as Honey, Daddy, Poppy, and Mr. Don, was born on October 29, 1943 in Owassa, Alabama to Marcella and Clarence Donald Brown, Sr. Don passed away from this life on August 27th, 2021 with his family by his side. He was employed at Springhill Medical Center for 20 years where he shared joy and Christian love to all those he met. He enjoyed his family, traveling, and football.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Brown and Marcella Griffin Brown, one brother and 3 sisters.
Don is survived by his loving wife Merle Butler Brown; 4 daughters Melanie Brown, Janet White (Mickey), Angela Hildreth (Chris), and Diana Brown; 3 children-by-heart, son Eddie Lane (Ronna) and daughters Erika Garcia (Eduardo) and Amber Carmichael; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters; 1 brother, Paul Brown; as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
II Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day: and not to me only: but unto all them also that love his appearing."
Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Saturday, September 4th, at 10 AM. Visitation will be held the night before from 6 PM until 8 PM on Friday, September 3rd, also at the church. Interment will follow the funeral services at Wolf Ridge Cemetery.
