Brenda Kay Broadus (Henry), age 54, of Port Arthur Texas, a resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2020 in the early morning. Owner of BJ’s Concessions and a member of the class of 1983, BC Rain High School. She was a dedicated woman who was the matriarch of her family and beyond. She was selfless with a heart of gold. She was not only loved by her family, but by anyone she met throughout life. She was a loving mother and wife; and she was the best “Nana” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, reading, hunting, and fishing.
She is survived by father Harold Henry; husband William Broadus III; mother-in-law Alta Broadus; daughters Monica Broadus Hudson (Marlyn) and Kayla Broadus Mclean (Kyle); son-in-law Cory Kendrick; grandchildren Maloree and Brantley Kendrick and Rylie and Jace Mclean; siblings Mary (Susie) McCord, Paul Turner, Charles (Charlie) Turner, Walter (Dooley) Turner; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Ollie Mae Sullivan, father-in-law William Broadus Jr, daughter Juleasa (Julie) Mae Broadus Kendrick, son William Broadus IV.
Services will be held at Solid Rock Church, 11400 Tanner Williams Road on Friday, August 7th. Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1pm. The chapel time will be at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements made by Kenmar Family Funeral Home.
